    Yogurt Bark - Method

This is such an easy snack that’s not only delicious but nutritious as well! This yogurt bark is such a great choice for those kiddos coming home from school, or even for us adults who need a refreshing snack on a hot summer’s day. The great thing too is that you really can make it to your taste. The three variations I’ve given are amazingly delicious too. If you’re wanting your yogurt bark to be on the creamy side, be sure to get yogurt with a higher fat content.

Let’s talk about what kind of yogurt you’ll want to use. You’re welcome to use any type of yogurt you want, but Greek yogurt is going to have the best consistency. Full fat greek yogurt is where it’s at! The brand that I used (which you can find at Walmart) is Cabot. It has 10% milkfat….10 PERCENT! It seriously is magical and was by far my favorite out of the three bars.

To make mine or any yogurt bark you want, first you’ll need to add any seasonings (like honey or cinnamon for example) to the yogurt. After your yogurt is flavored, then pour out the yogurt onto a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper and smooth out evenly. Be sure to use parchment paper as anything else will stick.

Now, take your toppings and sprinkle them all evenly over the yogurt. Feel free to adjust the amount of toppings based to your taste and desire of toppings to yogurt ratio.

Finally, place your yogurt bark in the freezer and set a timer for 3 hours. Keep the yogurt bark uncovered so as not to ruin the appearance of the bark. Check your bark after 3 hours to see if it’s firmed up. Depending on the yogurt fat content, this may take longer. Once it’s firm, remove it from the freezer, slice into bars. Store in an air-tight container or gallon ziplock bags. PRO TIP: Try not to leave your yogurt bark uncovered for longer than 24 hours. This will help to avoid freezer burn.

I hope you enjoy this Yogurt Bark as much as we do! If you’re looking for more refreshing, summer desserts, try these Lemon Magic Bars. They are a delicious and refreshing lemony twist on the amazing 7 layer magic bars.
