American Sodas
These Non-Alcoholic Drinks are a crowd pleaser at any party or holiday event! The best thing about this, is you can use your favorite sodas, and dress them up a bit. No need for tons of different expensive syrup flavors!

Ingredients
- Ice
- 1/2 C Favorite Soda (I love orange)
- 6 TBS Vanilla Syrup
- 7 TBS Half and Half
- Canned Whipped Cream
- Straws (optional)
Method
Fill a glass cup about half way with ice.
Pour in your favorite soda, add the vanilla syrup and the half and half. Stir to combine.
Top with a spray of whipped cream. Enjoy!

Soda’s with citrus can curdle when mixed with the half and half. Just be sure to give it a good stir and you’ll be fine! Orange soda is my favorite with this drink and I don’t mind the curdle as I can’t tell if it’s stirred well.

American Sodas - Recipe
Happy Holidays, Party On, or whatever event your celebrating, these non-alcoholic American Sodas are seriously the best! They are easy to make, delicious, and are inexpensive, especially if you make your own Homemade Torani Syrup, recipe here. If not, you can always find it in the coffee aisle at most grocery stores or order it online here.
The fun thing about these is you can take any soda from the store and make it into something so special. This is AMAZING with fruity sodas, but don’t let Dr. Pepper or Coke get ignored. Those are just as delicious!
Making these sodas is so simple. Take any ol’ cup and fill it with ice, soda, syrup and half and half. Top it with whipped cream and serve with a straw. Done! I used my glass cups, but mason jars are ADORABLE with this. If you’ve got a lot of guests coming, I’ve also done this with a red solo cup. Yeah you can’t see the color, but with the whipped cream and straw on top, it still works great and has a fun affect!
Why The Name
"American Sodas"?
Ok, so I assume we are all familiar with Italian Soda’s. They are refreshing drinks that take carbonated water and add various syrup flavors, cream and whipped cream. I LOVE Italian Sodas! BUT, I don’t have an arsenal of syrup flavors to create all the different flavors. And, to purchase all of the different syrups, I’d have to take out a small loan on my house. Well, what do American’s do best? Take ideas and make them our own! Usually making them less expensive and more accessible. Right?! And thus, American Soda’s were born!
